Friday, March 13: Majid Al-Mansoori has been appointed as assistant technical director at Team Abu Dhabi.

The team, which runs under the leadership of Executive Director Thani Al-Qamzi and team manager Guido Cappellini, has already appointed three-time World Champion Jonas Andersson as one of its drivers for the 2026 UIM F1H2O World Championship season.

Al-Mansoori, 44, was part of Team Abu Dhabi in the 2012 season, having started his career in jet-ski racing between 1997 and 2000.

From there, he graduated to the Class 3 category and then to jet-ski stock, wooden boat racing and Formula 2000 in 2008. He then made his Class 1 racing debut at the 2011 Norwegian Grand Prix, grabbed a first podium in Italy the following year and also represented Team Abu Dhabi in the XCAT Middle East Championship with the likes of Rashed Al-Tayer. He also took part in the UIM Nations Cup.
