Tuesday, June 30th - China CTIC Team have announced that their reserve driver, Stefan Hagin, will be called up for the forthcoming Grand Prix in Kyrgyzstan. In a strategic update to the team’s driver line-up, Hagin will race alongside team mate Brent Dillard, who already competed at the 2026 season’s opening race in Cagliari.
He will replace Peter Morin, who started for the team in the first race of the season. The Frenchman has raced for China CTIC Team since his debut with them in the 2017 season, achieving seven podium finishes since then and a career-best third place Championship finish in the 2023 season.
Hagin already raced for China CTIC Team last season, when he made his F1H2O World Championship debut at the Grand Prix of Jeddah. He secured his first ever points and podium trophy after finishing third in the Grand Prix’s Sprint Race, but failed to complete the race on the following day, registering a DNF.
The German’s strong performance in the Sprint Race came as no surprise, given his proven racing pedigree throughout the years. He started powerboat racing almost two decades ago, achieving numerous accolades in various categories since then, including being crowned F2 World Champion in 2022.
China CTIC Team will make further announcements about future line-ups for this season’s racing fixtures following the Grand Prix of Kyrgyzstan, taking place July 31-August 2.
