Kyle Maskall made his F1H2O debut at the 2025 Grand Prix of Shanghai, continuing a family legacy rooted in powerboat racing. Born and raised in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Maskall was introduced to the sport through his father, a former US F1 powerboat racer, and has followed in his footsteps ever since.

His passion for competition began at an early age, spending nearly two decades racing motocross from the age of 6 until hanging up the helmet at 25. Meanwhile, at 17 he made the switch to racing on water, starting out in the F150 category, before moving up to competing in US F1 races. His success in that category saw him picked to race alongside Peter Morin for the China CTIC Team this season.
